Step 1: Write Your Idea
Head to the main TellaPrompt workspace. You'll see a large text area labeled with a prompt to describe your idea. Write a few sentences about the app you want to build. For example:
"I want an app where neighbors can post local events — potlucks, yard sales, block parties — and people nearby can RSVP and see what's happening on a map."
Don't worry about formatting or technical details. Just describe your vision naturally.
Step 2: Submit
Click the Generate button. If you have credits available, your request will be queued and the status will change to "Generating."
Step 3: Wait or Come Back Later
You can watch the progress indicator, or you can navigate away — your prompt will continue building in the background. If you'd like an email when it's done, you can opt in before submitting.
Step 4: Review Your Prompt
Once the status shows "Ready," your generated prompt will appear in the output panel. You can read through it, copy it to your clipboard, or regenerate it if you want a different angle.
Step 5: Use It
Copy your prompt and paste it into your preferred AI app builder. The structured format is designed to give the builder everything it needs to create a working prototype.
Step 6: Find It Later
All your generated prompts are saved in My Prompts, so you can always come back to review, copy, or manage them.
