How TellaPrompt Works

The Generation Flow

TellaPrompt follows a simple three-step process:

1. Submit Your Idea

You start by writing your app idea in plain language. There's no special format required — just describe what you want to build, who it's for, and what problem it solves. The more context you provide, the richer your output will be.

2. AI Processing

Once you submit, TellaPrompt's AI analyzes your idea and begins constructing a structured prompt. This happens asynchronously, which means you don't have to stay on the page — you can close the tab and come back later.

3. Receive Your Prompt

When generation is complete, your prompt appears in the output panel and is saved to your Prompt Library (My Prompts). If you opted in, you'll also receive an email notification letting you know it's ready.

What's in the Output?

Your generated prompt typically includes:

  • A clear product description and value proposition
  • Key user personas and journeys
  • Core features and functionality
  • Suggested data models and relationships
  • UI/UX considerations
  • Technical notes for the AI builder

Asynchronous Generation

Because prompt generation can take some time, TellaPrompt processes requests in the background. You'll see a status indicator (Queued → Generating → Ready) and can check back anytime in your Prompt Library.
